..... We will be decorating our unique south London warehouse styled venue which boasts an amazing sound-system to create an exciting vibe and atmosphere for all friends and guests.

lets talk 'Crackers' or randomness about music

Deejay NG...... is waiting for the day he can go to that club: and NOT get turned away for wearing shoes that didnt have hard enough soles! That place/club where security don't turf you because of the way your dressed or for wearing a hood/hat! A place where one can hear good music on a good tuned sound system instead of listening to you favorite bass driven track through some tin-pan speakers/setup! A place where Straight, Gay, Bi, Trans, Old, Young, Rich n Poor, regardless of gender all gather to meet and socialise with smiles on their faces :) A place that closes at stupid o'clock in the afternoon/day on a weekend. A place that has that wicked outdoor chill out area so you can go upstairs when your mashed from dancing so much, lie in the sun rays on a hot summers day and chat sh*t to a 'stranger' who you've never met, for hours upon hours... A 'stranger' who later in life becomes one of your best friends/wife/husband/partner.... that place that is amongst the greatest cities in the world, London?!

im afraid to say FactoryVauxhall Wednesdays is not quite that place, but it has been a starting place for something of a kind in line.... ;) the last 10 years of my life have been a on going practice session for me about learning and collecting different styles of music and understanding how different people respond to it within various environments and whilst warmly surrounded amongst different cultures.
I have come to realise that few people understand me musically and never will, unless i do something to show people and spread my ever growing knowledge and music collection.
I am and have been for quite sometime, unhappy with something in my DJ sets (long to explain) and have felt that i am not showing my full potential as a music collector/DJ/individual..... my radio shows i use to do on Rinse FM & BBC 1Xtra made me feel restricted....i was always trying doing my shows in relation to trying stick to their script or of what i believed the station and thier audience to be like, instead of sticking to the script of what i personally was about. - I wasn't expressing myself fully nor truly... There is a time and place for ANY 'sound' or arrangement/collection of sounds..... from the sound your car makes if you leave the lights on and open the car door, down to the collection of sounds (music) that accompanies a TV advert selling sofas, ....or that electro track that a club full of euphoric peeps are putting their hands in the air to, just before the big drop comes and the lights go off (blackout) as everyone screams with ecstasy from the uplifting vibe and feeling from the sub driven bass! . Basically, you have to find the right place and time to do play the sound(s). Going back to me not showing my full potential: i see DJs like runners: a no1 runner who specializes in the 400 meters might come last in a marathon race, and vice versa, a no.1 marathon runner might come last in a 400 meter race. But they're meant to be the fastest (best) runner though??.... yes, but at 'their' race! Well basically my point being?, i feel (and know) i haven't raced my race yet! neither have i been at all comfortable? Anyway... Big shouts to all that came down to Booty last night 2-5am and then caught my set this morning at the after party 6-8am.... i'm not even tired now and 'if' i could do a radio show right now, well bwwwoy, wouldn't you's be in for a treat ;), especially after half a year or so of a airwave/stream break ...;) i have some stories to tell you (real) and some good music to accompany each of them..... 'u-stream' i hear that voice cry out? well, who knows/lets see?
'Good' Music (like beauty) is all in the mind of the beholder and if you are intrigued to my genuine side of music and would like to 'hear' or would like to help me find this club im looking for mentioned at the start of this note..... msge me at officialdjng@gmail.com and header it '100th Monkey' and maybe something could happen.
If you know deeply about 'The Paradise Garage' or Larry Levan (and a few clubs/DJ's before this time as well as just after this period of socialising splendor), then you're reading from the same page im reading from. In the header of this note, i mentioned ' Crackers'. Confused as to its meaning? - well I was speaking to one of my friends about 'Crackers', another club night that has inspired me, but this time it wasnt US based and is home grown from here, London, UK... somethig that has deeply inspired me from watching the interviews and seeing the reunion party's vibe... refreshing an inspiring to me.
But thats a whole'nother story!
